Business Licensing
Information on business licences in Town of Comox and the Comox Valley
All businesses, including home-based businesses, operating within the Town of Comox require a business licence. Business licences are valid for each calendar year period, and can be applied for at any time throughout the year. Effective 2007, the Town of Comox has entered into an intermunicipal Business Licence Agreement with the City of Courtenay allowing certain businesses that operate in both communities the option of purchasing a single licence. The Town of Comox also has a partnership agreement with OneStop Business Registry , which offers integrated business registry services. If you are starting up a new business or wish to change the address of your business, you can use the OneStop service to register with many of the federal, provincial and local government agencies all in one step.
