January 2012 Meter Readings

Water meter readings from metered single family residential homes at January 31, 2012 compared to prior readings. Find how much water you used last month and in prior months back to May. Median single family use last month was 13 m3 (13,000 litres) compared to 12 in Dec & Nov, 13 m3 in Oct, 25m3 in Sept, 46m3 in Aug, 32 m3 in July, 29 m3 in June, and 14m3 in May. Average use was 15 m3 (15,000 litres) per home in the month compared to 14 m3 in Dec and Nov, 16 m3 in Oct, 30 m3 in Sept, 57 m3 in Aug, 39 m3 in July, 38 m3 in June, and 19 in May. Highest metered use for a single family home was 265 m3 in the month compared to 191 m3 in Dec, 174 m3 in Nov, 134 m3 in Oct, 241 m3 in Sept, 419 m3 in Aug, 307 m3 in July, 345 in June, and 157 in May. So far, for every month measured, one-quarter of the total water used by metered single-family homes was used by only 10% of them.
