Flag Raising and Proclamation Requests
The Town of Comox recognizes the value in commemorating local events and/or efforts of not-for-profit organizations and milestones for local business organizations, individuals, and community groups within the Town. These are often recognized by proclamations focusing the attention of the community.
Please review the Proclamation Policy CCL-059 to understand eligibility requirements and complete the Proclamation Request Form here. Note: Requests for Town of Comox issued Proclamations shall be made in writing using the Proclamation Request Form and provided at least four (4) weeks prior to the Proclamation date(s). Proclamation requests that are submitted, that don't use the form, will not be responded to.
Flag Raising Requests
The Town of Comox uses special Flag Raisings on its Community Pole, located at the Town Hall, to enhance public awareness of local activities such as multicultural events, fundraising initiatives, and historical commemorations, as well as to celebrate its diversity, civic events and not-for-profit initiatives that are widely important to Town residents.
Please review the Flag Raising and Flag Protocol Policy CCL-058 to understand eligibility requirements and complete the Flag Raising Request Form.pdf. Note: Requests shall be made in writing using the Flag Raising Request Form and provided at least four (4) weeks prior to the Flag Raising date(s). Flag Raising requests that are submitted, that don't use the form, will not be responded to.

Flags at Town Hall will be Half-masted on the following days each year:
April 28: WorkSafeBC Day of Mourning
June 6: D Day
November 11: Remembrance Day
