Lazo Greenway Multi-Use Path

This project is led by the Comox Valley Regional District.

The Lazo Greenway Multi-Use Path is a joint project between the Town of Comox , Comox Valley Regional District and Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) to create opportunities for walkers and cyclists to travel along Balmoral Road and Lazo Road. The project will provide a multi-use greenway path from Butchers Road to Sand Pines Drive. The path will help local residents connect to Goose Spit, Lazo Marsh and Point Holmes by foot or bike.

The multi-use path will vary in width and surfacing material to fit within in the existing topography and reduce environmental impacts. As part of this new pathway, dedicated bike lanes will also be incorporated along Lazo Road from Simba Road to Sand Pines. A pedestrian crossing at Sand Pines Drive will be installed to ensure pubic safety.
